“Chasing the Winter Sun” Canvas Print

In wintertime, the sun feels elusive, in the sense that you can’t quite hold onto it as long as you’d like. Additionally, the bare trees always provide a striking shadow contrast cast on the snow. Here I enjoyed carefully integrating dots of highlights and shadow, overlapping and intermingling them on the snow, like glitter. This painting was inspired by a walk in Whitaker Woods, a recreational trail located in North Conway, NH, taken after a fresh snowfall. Option to add black canvas floater frame
