Hummingbird in Flight 15: Shimmering Flight

Shimmering Flight is the 15th of my Hummingbird in Flight series. This painting was a commission to capture a bird flying through a kaleidoscope of blues and violets. The original measures 20”x20”. Hummingbirds never fails to win me over with their spritely charm. Appearing in an instant, they manage to capture and fly off with your attention as quickly as they enter the scene. This painting represents the movement, colors, and energy of a ruby-throated hummingbird. Rhythmic dots depict the staccato of vibrational sound and the whir of fleeting movements.
